Senior Network Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Troubadour Technology is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and support of mission-critical network infrastructure for enterprise and public sector clients. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical expert who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about building secure, scalable systems that drive real business outcomes.

As a senior member of our engineering team, you’ll play a key role in both project delivery and mentorship—bringing deep technical knowledge, clear communication, and a solutions-first mindset to every engagement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network architectures across LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-integrated environments
• Lead client-facing technical engagements including discovery, planning, deployment, and troubleshooting
• Provide high-level escalation support for complex networking issues
• Develop documentation including architecture diagrams, configurations, and hand-off materials
• Collaborate closely with project managers, pre-sales engineers, and junior engineers to ensure seamless delivery
• Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions
• Proven experience with major vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and HPE/Aruba
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
• Experience designing and supporting high-availability and multi-site network environments
• Professional-level certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP) are strongly preferred
• Excellent communication skills and client-facing presence
